Welcome to SOS Desmoïde,

French association of patients and doctors on desmoid tumors

SOS Desmoïde association was founded in 1998 under the impulsion of Marie Podevin, together with her doctor Laurent Mignot, to bring out of the shadows the desmoid tumor.

Since the beginning, SOS Desmoïde pursue 3 main goals :

• Break patients isolation,
• Gather and share existing knowledge : patients' live experience and clinical / scientifical knowledge of doctors,
• Promote research to better understand and treat desmoid tumors.

SOS Desmoïde association

SOS Desmoïde has about twenty volunteers, active members of the association who contribute to different aspects of the life of the association:

• from the reception,
• to the financing of research projects through the administrative management,
• the implementation place of events to improve knowledge and awareness on the disease and to raise funds, etc.
